This commission is a great example of variables you can
customize. Colleen knew the exact color she wanted the
background and included a color swatch in her package
with the shoes. This was extremely helpful and I was
able to match the color exactly. She also requested
either a soft gray or silver for the insole instead of
white. Truly a "custom" shoe portrait!

me teary eyed! This is an heirloom. These worn out
little shoes will always remind me of the early toddler
days with both of my boys. The detail and texture
you captured is just amazing -- I can't believe you did it
so accurately from photos! Thank you, I can't say enough
really - the faded toes and the soft suede. Even the
calm, sweet mood of the painting is absolutely
